AZ Alkmaar vs ADO Den Haag - Prediction & Match Preview

AZ Alkmaar enter the new season with plenty of confidence after an outstanding 4-0 victory over PSV Eindhoven in the Johan Cruyff Shield. The result provided an impressive attacking display and a clean sheet against the reigning Dutch champions.

Home advantage at the AFAS Stadion is another important factor. AZ finished the previous Eredivisie campaign with several high-scoring matches and also recorded a convincing 5-1 KNVB Cup victory over NEC. The squad has the quality and experience to compete at the top end of Dutch football, while European football adds further motivation during the new campaign.

ADO Den Haag return to the Eredivisie after a five-year absence. Promotion was secured after an excellent Eerste Divisie campaign, with ADO eventually winning the league title.
